MAESTRAPEACE MURAL
She stands five stories tall, vibrantly illuminating the walls of the San Francisco Women's Building. Her name is Maestrapeace. This mural is a jewel of the Mission District, a historic treasure on a National Heritage Building, and a magnet for thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. It is referred to in texts for women's, ethnic, and cultural studies and loved by the surrounding community.
